This month’s Dystopian Dance Party schedule is basically like a half-priced chocolate sampler on February 15th–except even cheaper and more satisfying. We’ve got a Dystopian Dance Mix of songs about candy, a podcast about the work of pioneering multi-genre artist Yoko Ono, the final (for now) installment of our series on the musical oeuvre of Kanye West, and a 30th anniversary guide to the discography of Public Enemy. Plus some other stuff we didn’t put in the video; those are like the cherry cordials and marshmallow-filled shit that you get in the chocolate sampler and aren’t very excited about, but still eat anyway because that’s how your self-loathing chooses to express itself. Look, I tried. Happy Black History Month!
Dystopian Dance Party
Dystopian Dance Party was founded in 2014 by brother and sister Zach and Callie in order to indulge our mutual interests in 1980s R&B music, radio rap, bad movies, and blathering about our opinions. It’s a space where we write/talk about whatever we want, however obscure or pointless, with little to no regard for a potential audience.
